3Renscho

Hello,

I am new to this forum and actually had a 'how much do you think it may be worth' question about a
3renscho bicylce frame and extra stuff. I do not know all that much about it but my wife does. She just wanted to get a 'feel' for how much it may be worth. My wife is 5'-2" tall so the frame is small as well. Here is a pic of the frame, it comes with everything but the crank, she says she may know where that is.

Everything associated with the frame (brakes, gears, wheels) accompany the frame with the exception of the crank....maybe.

I have more pics if necessary.

Hi scud, San Renshos are very much in demand, although with it being such a small frame it may not attract as much attention in the US as it should.

Can you tell us more about the components?

Welcome to BikeForums, too!

Thanks for the reply!, I will have my wife put together a list of components and get back to you when I can.

Great! That will help us figure things out.

Does the bike not fit your wife? I'm asking because it just (cough) happens to be close to my size (cough).

East Hill,

Well, lets just say that since we have decided to have kids later in life (not by choice have you...) there is just not enough time for riding. Not to mention she is working on her MBA online while working at a regular job!

I finally have the list of components, there are quite a few extra parts so it may take me a while to compile and post them, hopefully tomorrow sometime but no guarantees!

I can say with confidence that we are not trying to make a killing on the price, in fact, if it went to someone who would ride it we would take what we can for it. The only blemishes on the frame are cosmetic, a few of which are on the decals only.

Best

I look forward to seeing the list of components!

I am hear to tell you that it is lengthy......., are you on the east coast?

scud 04-22-08 02:33 PM

ok, here is scoop on the frame. 3 Renscho

Model: SRL Frame Size:47 Frame Type: M Color: Rose

scud 04-22-08 02:44 PM

ok, here are a few more items:

Front Derailier: Shimano FD-M700 (Says 'for half-step gearing')
Rear Derailier: Shimano 600
Chain: Sedistraveler #4 DST, 1/2" X 3/32" (12.7 X 2.38 mm)
One front gear that is a Shimano <42>
Rear Hubset (6 total gears): Shimano 600 MF-6208

Have not yet, nor can I promise to find the crank or the front or rear brakes.

There is some other stuff like spare cables, brake pads, a repair kit with all sorts of wrenches, screws, etc.

Hope this helps, just want to know what it may be worth, as as I mentioned, we are not interested in making a killing but we would like to see it go to someone who would use it.

One more thing....sorry... Wheels: Moncalieri Torino - made in Italy

East Hill 04-23-08 09:57 AM

It's a bit hard to assess, because it is a small frame, but my guess would be that you could get $300 or more just for the frame.

Sounds great, I appreciate you taking the time to look at it!

Yeah, the track versions. Which this bike is not. And an extremely uncommon size to boot.

scud 04-23-08 09:12 PM

All I want is a good home for it, track version or not,,,,or,,,uncommon size or not, I really do not care. I'd take $300.00 for it. My wife says it is a Criterion Bike whatever that is. I think heard it somewhere that....ignorance is bliss.

Again, thank you East Hill

scud 04-23-08 09:15 PM

Does this help?

The decal on the chainstay suggests it may have originally bike Super Record equipped, however being that 3Rensho is a Japanese builder that may not have been the case. It does sound like many of the components you have are replacements for the originals, or the bike was built up from a frameset. In any case, the frame would easily fetch $300 regardless of the size.

scud 04-24-08 08:23 AM

Thanks Cuda2K, look for it on Ebay shortly. One more thing, should I just try to sell the frame and not bother with the componenets since they may or may not go with the frame?

I have more information on the wheels, they are: Sludi 290 with a Campagnolo Hub and Shimano MF-6208Hubset geared 18, 17, 16, 15, 14 and 13 (or maybe 13.5 it does not say and it looks to be only slightly smaller then the 14).

There is an additional hubset MF-6208 geared: 23, 21, 18, 17, 15, 14

And oh by the way, should I be asking these questions in this forum or another?

Thanks for all your help.

scud 04-24-08 11:00 AM

It is actually and Campagnolo 'Record' hub

Yes, I know :) . It's still worth $300 for the frame, and having Campy Record hubs makes it worth a bit more.
