Giro Helmets

I bought my wife a Giro Helmet yesterday for her birthday. This is the nicest helmet either of us has ever owned. This is a really stupid question. It came with four foam pads that have sticky backs on them. What exactly do we do with these sticky foam pads. The instruction booklet doesnt mention them.

Those are for fine tuning the adjustment and fit. If you purchased at an LBS, you should have them assist your wife in a proper fit, or read the manual (booklet). Otherwise, you may not require them.

I am surprised the instruction book does not mention them, however.

(Depending on model, they could be replacements for the ones already in the helmet.)

I wonder too, and, as I recall, the instruction manuel really does not mention them. Since they are not like anything installed in the helmut, they can't well be replacements. Fine tuning, I guess. Mine reside in a box of stuff I call spare parts. Strictly speaking, it is a box full of expensive bad decisions.

I had the exact same question, but was too embarassed to ask! :D I have a Giro Kaya helmet and my hubby has a Giro Indicator...both came with the above mentioned "4 oval-shaped foam pads". Neither of our owner's manuals indicate what these foam pads are for, or where they should go. You'd think they would have at least included that info in the manual.

Ha! That's funny.
