trekking bars with hybrid, do I need to change brakes, thumb shifters?
I want to put either the Nashbar trekking bar or the much more expensive ITM Selega Trekking/Aero Bar on my hybrid bike, but I am wondering if I will need to change the brake/thumb shifters that are currently on my bike, or if I can just tack them on to the lower part of the trekking bar? I got the idea from this forum post but still wasn't sure if I had to change my current brake/shifters
..
BTW, I currently have origin 8 road ends on my bike, will a trekking bar be much better than my current flat bar/bar end setup? I intend to go on a tour from Portland, Oregon to the coast or about 150 miles in a few months...
Thanks for your help

think i found my answer from another thread here. My only worry now is how close together the shifters look on all the setups I've seen ... I'll post again here if I have any updates for archive purposes
