It makes sense though...I know people that would gladly drive Paris Hilton around for free, therefore making his services worth nothing by his own "logic".
I doubt that even Paris gives away her services for free.

Did she get paid for that video of herself?

.Or are you opposed to people being paid for work performed in general?
No, services rendered charges should be according to income on an a sliding affordability scale,Which means it should be according to my income.Which means I would pay about $1.50 to fix my flat.Paris would have to pay $10,000 to get her flat fixed.

That would be: "From each according to ability, to each according to need." Spouting such Communist philosophy on Memorial Day! You should be ashamed of yourself.

Incidentally, most of the people in the world were born in places like China and India and Equitorial Africa. If, through no effort on your part, you happened to be born in the USA, you really shouldn't complain about what's "fair".

The GC forum must be getting slow, in order to revive this dead end thread. There, I did my part to feed the hungry troll, don't want him to get too thin.

Have you ever considered that you may be against yourself?

The world + you, common denominator = you

Jaa, everyone who thinks you are a nutter must be a right winger. We are all part of that vast conspiracy to keep you and your $200 Trek down.

An LBS that was closest to me would charge $10, including the new tube. It took him about 10 mins.

Too bad the shop is no longer around.

Two minute job? What about risking EVERYTHING to open a bike shop? I have my own store and people say the same thing at times. All I think about is the $420/month Reality tax, $5400/year City taxes....ect...all on top of my House taxes. That guy's shop costs $100's day just to cover base costs. So at $7/flat he'll never make money.

I worked in a LBS as a teenager in 1974. A flat repair was $1.76, just a hair more than my hourly pay at the time.

I have paid for a flat repair, but only when I was out with no tools. I never ride now without tools, a pump and a spare tube.

I do not agree with comrade mark. The price is the price, whether you are rich or poor. Sorry to break your heart but capitalism is the way to go, even with flat tires.

In my shop your flat repair would have just gone up to $40..... That's capitalism at work.
