Bicycle imports
I am new to this forum so please excuse me if this is the wrong place to post. I am in the market for a new bike to ride around the city, and a friend from the UK sent me a suggestion for the Cannondale Bad Boy 8. I loved it because it is very simple - 8 speed internal hub and disk brakes, with all cables hidden in the body. Unfortunately, it is only available in Europe, and Cannondale said they had no plans to sell it here.
Two questions:
- does anyone know of any company that imports bikes like this?
- or does anyone know a good alternative that is similar? I came upon the Swobo Dixon but that's it.
Thanks

I think Evans cycles will ship them abroad. I was going to order a bike from there for shipment to Japan. And you dont have to pay the local tax .. just google it.. its a big chain...

Thanks RayB
Great advice - Evans has a website that will automatically calculate the shipping cost and deduct the tax - it turns out the saved tax outweighs the shipping cost, so that is a great deal.
