Worst biking weather condition for you?
 

For me, rain. It slows me down, and sometimes makes me cold.

I would much rather ride in a downpour.

I dislike any rain while riding. Anything else I can handle.

Snow...at least until I can get a Pugsley built up.

Never ridden in snow (Tucson...hello!), but we get some sick, dusty, hard, hot wind. I hate it. I'll take rain any day over that crap.

Yeah the snow is a bit of a downer.

I can handle the rain if I need to. ;)

I used to hate cycling in the rain, but after biking a couple of years in the Seattle area, I got over it.

Snow or powder. Powder is impossible to ride though, its worse than sand
Sand is second, its damn near impossible without very specific equipment

Rain I got used to when I moved out here. Its actually quite fun to ride in the rain, and when you complete a technical section in the rain, there is no better feeling :)

1) Ice
2) Strong winds
3) Heavy fog
4) Cold
4) Darkness combined with the above

cold i wont ride even if its slightly chilly

I like pretty much everything but wind.

Extreme heat I could do without, but living where I do, that ain't gonna happen.

I can do anything except extreme cold and extreme heat.

I seem to get dehydrated easily and when I ride in hot weather I get an excruciating migraine that tends to last for the entire day. One day I'll figure this out.

Extreme cold is more doable, but I hate my fingers freezing. If I can get a decent pair of gloves, this can be fixed.

Nasty heat

Snow and ice on the ground. I don't have the appropriate equipment, so I don't ride in that crap. Yet. :D

A close second would be bitter cold. Sure, I have a balaclava and mittens and layers upon layers of thermals...but I still get cold! I'm fine except for those little bits of exposed or lightly-covered skin. Those freeze while the rest of me sweats.

Over 117 F and under -5 F. Was not fully prepared either time and suffered damage.

117f...holy ****

I don't mind the heat, but at 117 all I can think about is beer and a pool my god man!

It's gotten over 110 here a handful of times in my life, and boy, that's some unpleasantness right there. The air is so thick, it feels like you're swimming through it.

hail or wind driven sleet or freezing rain,
it just plain hurts.

I don't like anything that my pretty precious puddin' sweetums bike doesn't like.

Ya I suffered in onterrible at about 110 at times. But thats with 30 or so of pure humidity...sweating in the shower...god I don't miss that.

Rain's almost a treat for me. We don't get much of it in Reno, so it's something I do only a few times a year and usually enjoy (got fenders on my beater, which helps a lot). Snow's OK until it packs down and turns to ice, but we rarely see more than a few inches at a time. I'd change my tune if I lived in Buffalo.
Wind. Hands down, the every-damn-day-from June-to-August 30mph headwind that blows straight from my house toward my office when I'm trying to ride home after work.

Heavy snowfall ... and hail.

Worst I have to wrory aobut in Cali is rain. I have no problem with it but the rear wheel on our tandem was really thrashed when rain ate up the grease and bearings. I don't ride in the rain for equipment reasons. I have gone on an old mtb and it's nice, just hate thinking of thrashed bearings!:D

Heavy precipitation, wind-driven into my face! If I can't SEE, I hate it...protective eye wear or not.

Second is wet glare ice. Not that a properly-equipped bike can't handle it just fine (studded tires can really be effective); the problem is when the rider (me) has to take a foot off the pedals and/or get off the bike!:lol: THAT can be a REAL problem...falling down hurts....:cry:

Snow is actually quite ridable if there is not too much of it (again, more of a rider limitation--my own--than the bike's).

Rain? No problem and actually--as long as the bike I am riding has GOOD brakes--makes the ride easier since reduced rolling resistance means less work for the rider. (Me.)

Now, if there is too much wind, or there is lightning? Time to get off the bike and find shelter if I can...I do want to live to see another day, after all.

In my part of the UK we don't see much snow, and when we do it is nothing that a good set of knobbly tires cannot handle. Rain I am fine with (You HAVE to be in the UK).

What I really hate is strong winds, especially when I have a headwind going to work... which is mostly an uphill climb.
