I got my first MTB when I was 13~14yrs old.. got it in 1991~1992.

I had it repainted 2 yrs after because I didn't like the color.. BTW, the orignal color was black, i think...
I just placed handcut decals I bought from an artshop after having it repainted..

Since all the original decals are gone.. I cant remember the make and model of this bike..

Please help me identify it.

I want to restore it..

BTW, it came w/ Shimano Exage 500LX gruppo, Araya rims, Vetta Gel Saddle.
Frame is Cr-Mo.

below is a pic.

i dunno, but its really cool looking. you should make it into a singlespeed. or sell it to me and ill make it a single speed!

Judging by the rear seatstay joining the top tube in front of the seat, I'm guessing a GT.

Yeah, i would also say a GT.

Traditionally, GTs do not have a 1 piece seatstay "tube" from the top that then has the actual seatstay tubes welded onto the single tube, do they? Did they ever have the swayed toptube? I thought that was a Haro thing...or a Haro knock-off thing.

No not haro. Early Haro's I beleive the were dubbed "extreme" had a dipping top tube that bent and broke often. However they did not incorporate a wishbone rear end design.
I do not know but I am thinking it may be a Panasonic, or Nishiki.

i went web-lookin' gt seemed the closest-crashed my computer-had to reload op sys-(drag) am going to send the photo to a collector-let you know if he can identify.

It is not a GT. When I saw the top part of the frame when scrolling the pic, I thought Redline or Haro. I see that there is some form of Haro decal on the bike so that is likely the case. That was a relatively popular frame style in the late 80's and early 90's.
