Rough Atlanta winter.
I do not know what the temp was today when I rode but it felt like early summer. Apparently some pacific air came through with the winds and brought some terrible winter weather.
I was sweating before even beginning my ride.

Today St. Looey has winter back. New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, and January 2 were all spring-like. Got in a ride with some friends on the 1st and a solo ride in shorts and short-sleeve jersey yesterday. If I weren't convinced this weather is a manifestation of global warming, I'd be completely happy about it.

Global warming? I thought it was just due to the recent wind patterns and where the air originated.
So when the wind changes and we get a blast of freezing air from Canada can I call it the next Ice Age?

I'd actually like a bit of winter and some snow to go camping and hiking in. It is a special treat to me. But I don't want to shovel my car outta a snow bank to drive to work.

Sam, it's suppose to be warm again today, maybe 69-70 degrees. I'll be doing my usual ride. May even wear a s/s jersey.
According to the Weather Channel we'll get back to the usual temperatures by mid-week.

Let us know what part of town you'll be in and time of day you can ride and we can give you more/better information.

Us northerners have thick blood, if we sweat 12 months of the year we get too dehydrated. I don't know how you all stand that unremitting heat.

This is treasonous..Regarding bike commuting to work..I commute for PM shift and ride back..Work is another 15 miles inland making the early AM chill even chiller than where I live, nearer the coast.
At work, lately at 6:30 AM, We have actually had to let the motor run to warm up the car and disipate the iced over dew. Guess, our auto stores have ice scrappers...? Maybe over there, it was near 30 degrees. That is below freezing..That is a chilly commute. Guess, that is why oranges are not as prolific over there...
Last month has had some pretty chilly nights...Do I want to commute when it is below 40..I thought low 40's was pretty cold...But 30's..? .I might delay my work commute until the night time temp's return to the mid-40's, where we expect them to be...
