What's the better upgrade? Ergon grips or a trekking bar?

I have a flat bar with bar ends. One thing that's bothering me is that the heel of my hands hurt after riding for a while. I think the Ergon grips would help spread out the weight on my hands and relieve the pressure on that area. Alternatively I could get a trekking bar with bar tape. What do you recommend?

I can't find it right now, but there was a user here using Ergon grips on trekking bars.

I tried the Ergons with flat bars but found this set-up much more comfortable using Bar Phat tape.[IMG][/IMG]

Trekking bars, double wrapped. More hand positions than I first thought. I can stretch out on the fronts, use the bottom sides, top sides, wrap my fingers around them, lean on them. Good stuff.
