Reminisce

Oh, how I have grown. I was just looking at my first post (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...&threadid=1625)and couldn't help but think about the difference a year and a half brings. I was such a novice when I first logged in to this site. I have rode bikes since the dawn of time, but until BikeForums, I never knew who to ask for advice or who to tell my adventures to. Now, I just can't seem to shut up.

Thank you.

Thank you.

...and the best part about BF is that it keeps you from annoying your non-cycling friends with cycling anecdotes and/or epics.

I'm just glad that I stumbled across BF (and Ken Kifer's bike pages); I had always wanted to start cycling, and without BF I think I'd still be mulling over which bike to buy, instead of out riding around, getting harassed by Pan troglodytes bardus bardus automobilia (Very stupid motoring chimpanzees).

I was doing the same thing a week or two ago. I reread some of my old posts, and was kind of surprised. I'd forgotten how hesitant I was to jump in, since everyone else seemed to know eachother. I thought I'd be treated like an outsider, but I was welcomed right off the bat. Thanks a lot everybody!

It's good to have you around Steele. I always enjoy reading your posts, and I'm sure I will continue to. I signed up about the same time you did, and for a long time I still felt like a green-horn. When I see all the new names, I'm realizing that we're starting to become old-timers now! Well, at least the real forum-geezers like Ba-Dg-Er, Pete Clark, ChrisL, and fubar5 (and a bunch of others not mentioned - don't take it personally) will always keep us feeling young!

Gee, I can't top that cliche. Congratulations!

I am going to have to start using this! Okay, first I need to learn how to pronounce it, but then I'm going to start using it.
