do you yell at cars? kick cars?

i do if they're acting like an *****hole.

do you kick their car for nearly hitting you after you blindly run through a stop sign without stopping?

do you yell at them for nearly running you off the road as they merge into a turn lane and you were trying to pass them on the right on the shoulder?

do you hold resentment towards cars for driving to close to you as you ride on the shoulder of a 55 mph road at 25 mph?

it's a combination of things. mostly:

1. cars that beep at me for no reason and scare the **** out of me - i bought a bike horn to fight back
2. cars that yell rude things at me - i've kicked in a car's door that got stopped at a light right after yelling something at me.
3. cars that make right turns at intersections without looking and seeing that i'm coming.
4. cars that stop in the shoulder at red lights.

i have a bad attitude to begin with, but bicycling has made it worse. most people in cars have no courtesy or respect for bicyclists. that's why i yell at them, kick their cars and will honk my 115 dB horn at them.

It sounds like you're the type of cyclist that gives the rest of us a bad name. You complain that "people in cars have no courtesy or respect for bicyclists," but you behave in a way that does not warrant their courtesy or respect.

being a "vehicle" shouldn't you be riding in traffic, and not passing someone on the right as they are trying to make a turn? I do believe if I passed someone on the right while driving a car in the same fashion I would be blamed for the accident. I believe this is how the laws work in most states

I'm normally a great cycler, but I'll admit I have kicked a car once. They threw something at me (missed) and yelled at me. When they got caught by a light I kicked their car, and I went down a 1-way the wrong way to get away haha. I also flip off Hummer drivers, but I do that if I'm in my car as well.

Febs - I give humans a bad name. My behavior is bad all around.

nooooob - I am talking about when I am going straight through a light and people are making a right turn from the lane perpendicular to my lane. They just jump in the acceleration lane without looking to their left.

Where I am it's against the law for them to use a cell while driving. Which is more dangerous?

that's cool. i'm a born again cyclist. i used to be a bmxer in my younger days which i think is where the bad attitude comes from. there was just so much freedom riding bmx on a ramp or on a path and now that i've hit the "main" streets, it kind of sucks the way motorists treat bicyclists. that's why i'm an angry cyclist.

if you're into metal and hardcore, you should check out my old bands:
http://www.myspace.com/bureaubratsrip
&
http://www.myspace.com/grimariarocks

2 totally different styles, but i think that's because i played guitar in one and drums in the other.

We become targets for those that are angry through past experience.

First of all, I would like to say that I think you need to see the world in a different light... Satanic Cyclist? Bad attitude? Metal Music? Kicking Cars?

Lets start with Metal Music. This music is terrible. It's truly a gift from the music gods for us Musical elitists! Horribly composed atonal rifs and crappy wanking solo's with no melody! Oh and the vocals! I could write an entire album with just the lyric, "Skulls for the skull throne, blood for the blood god, by the power of grey skull, come come now dragon, blood fist!" And be successful! And Oh how I love the cd art.

Something distasteful like a poorly drawn "demon" with words written in nearly intelligible font, if you can call it "a font" And it's always some silly name like, "As I avenge my bloody suicide" add in "in august" or some ***** and you have a screamo band! But the best part about the Cd art is the picture of the musicians on the back acting tough. I don't think I could possibly hold a srs bsns look like that for more than a few moments with my hair greased and wearing tight leather chaps with a leather vest and nothing under it. I think the pointier the guitar the better! Bunch of no talent ass clowns!

As for your cycling habbits!

You should be courteous and Law abiding. Escalating a situation because you're too righteous to be the bigger man. You seemingly have a proud feeling for having a "Bad attitude" That's like being proud for having tuorette's!

Satanic Cyclist? are you on some hilarious crusade? bring Religious babble to your mindless posts about how awesome satan is? why dont you just go and take your rhetorin west philadelphia born and raised on the playground is where I spend most of my days, chillen out maxin out coolin all shootin some b-ball after summer school when a couple of guys, who were up to no good, starting making trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared, she said you're movin in with you uncle and untie in bel-air. I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the liscense plate said fresh and there was dice in the mirror, if anything I thought that this cab was rare, but nah forget it, yo home to bell air! I pulled up to the house around 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabber yo home smell ya later, I looked at my kingdom I was finally there, sit atop my throne, the fresh prince of bel-air!

So in conclusion. You're stupid. You posts make no sense and you should really think hard before breeding you warthog faced bafoon! Also. You smell funny!

You just gotta love the folks that refuse to grow up and behave like adults, and to justify their warped behavior latch on to "counter-culture" fads like metal music, satanism and the like. (Which is all the more ironic due to the herd mentality of the so-called "counter-culture".) Then they can act offended and outraged when someone points out that their lifestyle is by all reasonable standards an excuse to promote antisocial, psychologically warped, overly violent, and frequently criminal behavior.

I don't care if it is your "culture". If your culture promotes lashing out at people to fulfill your juvenile fantasy "image" of yourself, if your culture says it is OK to have a bad attitude about everyone and everything simply because you are the most important thing on the planet, and if your culture says that you must act like a jackass or else you cannot be a part of said culture, then here is a news flash: your culture sucks and absolutely no one but your groupthinking herd sees you as cool.

I am all for individual choice, and if that is the type of lifestyle that you aspire to, then I will 100% support your ability to do so. But don't expect a warm welcome when you show up to a forum like this and immediately tell everyone that you are a major part of the reason cyclists are hated by many motorists. Don't expect commiseration from the public when you act like a jackass, escalating a heated situation and then b|tch about the other party afterwards. Don't expect to NOT get taken to jail for property damage and possibly assault when you start fights with drivers rather than taking the high road.

For that matter, don't expect anything other than a whole heaping helping of "Grow Up" from today's educated adult society...

the average metal musician is WAY more talented than most musicians, drummers are on par with most jazz drummers. Many guitarists with jazz/blues backgrounds. Stop judging metal by the vocalists (who do in fact yell without much tone, they do not sing, but I like that) or stop judging metal by bad bands you see on headbangers ball

I always thought somebody getting doored would be a bad thing, but I'm beginning to see there might be an upside to the event.

here we go again...if you read a post, think to yourself, does this apply to me? no? then don't read it and don't throw your two cents in. there is a sub-culture in bicycling of people that are angry about certain things and are willing to fight for what they feel is right. not everyone will understand this and think that our actions and ideals are an atrocity and that we're giving bicyclists a bad name. but we're not the ones in the fruity jerseys pretending to be lance armstrong. we're the ones in black t-shirts and black shorts so it's easy to tell us apart.

as for me standing up for myself and yelling at people for f***ing up while i'm on my bike...i just yelled at someone at wawa for throwing their cigarette wrapper on the ground and told them that they were littering and that they should pick it up. does that give people on foot or consumers in general a bad name?

as for the metal thing...that's a discussion that just can't be won when it's against a michael bolton fan.

as for the satan thing...i do that out of disrespect of god and religion as a whole. i say religion is a sham and i use satan as a protest.

and by the way, i do have a kid on the way who will probably end up beating up your kid.

aces.
a-ron

p.s. this whole thing pretty much started as a joke to see if there were any cool people on this board and i'm glad it got such a rise out of people. very entertaining to me. thanks for the laugh.
