What's your 2001 mileage?
So... with the year about to end... what was/will be your 2001 mileage?
9,012 km - 5,600 miles - for me. |
I'm sorry to say it is not nearly as much as I'd hoped for. Only about 3000 miles.
But I hope to do better next year. ;) |
My life is a shambles. With a week to go of the old year, present mileage is 7259 or 11,614 KM. Last year I did 8399 Miles. Like the sound of the 11,614 KM. better. Of that 2257 miles or 3611 Km. were commuting to work. My central coast tour was 377 (603 km)
Last year's without a tour,- 8,399 miles( 13,438). Disappointing. .About One week to go. My goal is to have a 10,000 mile year. |
2000 miles this year but the riding season is much shorter than I would like in the cold, dark north. My trusty steed "Silver" and I will get in much more next year.
Merry Christmas everyone!! :D :D |
Only 780 miles, but I got my bike in late October, so I think I'm doing okay (considering that I don't have time to do the 40-mile round-trip every day into the office).
|
The only mileage I have a number on is on my commuter bike. I bought the computer for it in May and logged 1030 miles since.
|
Late start this year, so about 4000 miles
|
Bought the bike May 21st of this year, and have commuted 1,850 miles. :D
|
Ha ha. I have 247 miles on my bike. But I got my bike in the summer. And before that I was using a Univega, I rode that alot but I didn't have a computer on it, so I don't know what that mileage is. Plus I was using a buddies road bike for awhile, and I don't remember how many miles I put on that. Then the fork on my Fisher broke. So I have been bike starved since late August or early September. But, my fork is out for delivery right now, its been on the UPS truck since 5 am this morning! I can't figure out why it's not here yet!!
|
I am 72 miles short of 5000 as of today, so my hope is to get that in the next day or two. Last year I had 7100 miles and had 6000 miles as the lower limit for this year's goal, but life intervened. Poo.
|
About 2,200 miles.
Less than some of you big time bikers, but this is my first year in cycling and I never expected to achieve that much. It's been great to set goals and surpass them - (specific trips, day totals, speeds, certain hills, and total mileage). My wife thinks that I'll take the fun out of riding by having goals but I enjoy it. I'm already planning more goals for the next season. |
I'm doing this at work so I don't have the exact figure in front of me, but it's a hair short of 5900kms. (3540 mi)
Not as good as I was hoping for, interrupted by house buying, moving, injury and the usual excuses, but better than last year, and I promise to do more next year.:D |
I honestly wouldn't have a clue. I had a computer stolen earlier this year (my wallet went the same day  ). I do know that it would have been absolutely heaps. I ride year-round and my weekly km can range from 250-450 at any given time. There was also a 1300km tour in there as well.
|
I bought the computer in May and had just commuted 1000 km when BAM, I crashed into that car on July 27. I haven’t used the computer since, although I was up on the bike again in September.
And Chris, although I often envy your sunny December beaches, I must say that I love the decimeters of snow that cover central Stockholm a few days back! I don’t bike though... |
4,000 some
|
12,000 miles for me.
However, remember I use a bike for nearly 100% of my transportation, so it's not like I logged thousands of high sweat training miles; just substituting a bicycle for a car. |
Not sure. Really!
Ask me again, at the end of 2020, how much gas I saved so far. :) (Mike, the question was, 2001 mileage. ) ;) |
2100 miles on my cyclo-computer. However, I didn't use my computer during February and March. But I doubt that would have added more than 200 miles. This year is my first full year of serious cycling, and I'm really happy with the results!:)
|
Best guess is about 8000 miles since last january.
|
2100 here. I've averaged about the same the last three years.
Mike - 12,000 - wow! Way to go! All the more impressive given that you live in a area that lacks good year-round weather. I only put 9,000 on my pick-up. |

I think 6000km. I started using computer in August and only on the road bike.
I think it would be interesting to compare our fossil fuel cars' mileage with our bike' mileage. I think i did more in the car (8000km) which i find hard t o believe! I guess driving around to clients places from work really adds up in kms. So, my goal for 2002 is to do at least 8000km on the bike and less than 6000km on the car. Erik |
It will be right at 4000. I didn't start logging it until February so I don't know exactly.
|
740 miles - but then I've only been cycling since October.
