The ride home last night felt the wind off of a couple of mirrors but overall the ride was good just does not seem long enough anymore. This morning was about 60 degrees and the wind was mild little bit chilly at 25 mph but very invigorating. Hope everyone else riding today has a great ride

Our ride home was a little faster than usual 14 min and small change . We weren't even trying harder than normal must be getting used to the newly revised distance of 3.8 miles.Getting info on snow tires to ride thru the winter. From what I hear it is really fun ...

120 miles per week minimum,on a beach cruiser with fat tires, they call these beach cruisers granny bikes, but it takes more than granny strength to roll those heavy tires, yes they are heavy with steel wheels.I would go more but I would have to replace the chains faster.I go through 3 chains per year 3000 miles.

Wow, brother that is about where I want to be . That is 120 miles a week plus. I am trying to train up for a 75.8 mile one way ride to a camp ground , camp over night and come back home. Recovering from a broken back,R arm cut in half (20)years ago and a scoped R knee it is really starting help me regain a lot of my lost strength . Only averaging 40-80 miles a week . I am getting studded tires to ride thru the winter might even make that ride in the early winter...
I used to ride beach cruisers in Cali but just have to have the gears out here in Oklahoma. Loved riding Santa Monica,Redondo Beach ,Muscle beach ...

Rode home in the rain today . Thought I might get frustrated with the wet feet, but shook it quick with some puddle jumps. I had a blast , a lot of the cars were honking and clapping . Almost like they were having fun just watching me at their wait for the red light. I have to say that people around here may be loosening up towards us carbon free commuters...Strapped a brake light to the back of my helmet and man you can see me for a long ways off now . Looks like I may get to have rain rides until next Tuesday woo hoo , got a slicker just in case I ain't stupid hee hee heee ...

Day 2 of the Ike push into Oklahoma and still riding. Took extra time to get over the bridge because of a big wreck on I44. People kept trying to get on the interstate even though the thing was clogged like a bad artery. Some people saw me pointing that way and they went the other way after honking and waving . Still made it in normal time 3.8 in18 minutes . Hope everyone has a great safe ride today ...

Hey I just read something really incredible thought I would share it with you all. This dude named Heinz Stucke has been on a 45 year long bike ride.He left his house in 1962(7 years b4 me being born)at the age of 22 and he hasn't been home since. He has ridden over 335,000 miles,211 countries and territories and is still going . Best part of the story is that he is still riding the original 3 speed he started out on. Man you just gotta love that kind dedication ...

Rode home in the rain again but really off and on co-rider got a ride home in a vehicle . He thinks that I roasted my best time home even though I stopped to get smokes. I have cut back on my smoking from a pack and a half to a half a pack in three months. That is why I think I am having better rides , less trouble pulling in air. Had a great ride and the end of the day ride will give me the min. total for the week 40 miles goals are about to be stretched ...

Rode like a gunshot to get home and get the yard done before dark . Fortune being on my side got every light green and kept a hot pace for a lot of the ride home. Always compelled to get it moving down 50th st. something about the grade , great ride with a double goal completed. Since I got the yard done , told the wife I was gonna kick the Giant west to Council to a nice long bike track/trail. Want to get at least 30 miles to keep up with 80 a week . Have some great rides this weekend hope to read some later . Kick now or Kick yourself later

Ride to work was great ran it solo and loved it. Felt great to be out there slightly shivering going down portland at 23 mph . Got hit in the lip with a big bug but still laughed . Man it really felt great and made perfect time again . Makes me wonder if my jeep is jealous seeing me and the Giant together so much .... just kidding . By the way hope everyone has some great rides this week , would like to hear them...

Jammed home and made great time now official been commuting for 4 months now . Wife says she is surprised and proud, then she says she wants a bike so I got her one . A giant sort of like mine and she loves it glad to set a good example , now I will have to chase the kids around while she goes for her rides . I have no problems with that even welcome it ...

I had a good 8 mile round trip to a friend's house this evening for dinner. It is really satisfying for each hill to get a teensy bit easier each time.

I rode for the first time in like 3 weeks today (illness was keeping me off the bike for that time) ... took it really easy but it felt good to be back in the saddle again.
