Bikes in today's comics & on TV

The comic section of our paper today(Sept. 11, 2008) had bikes in two of the comic strips. Blondie: link: and Shoe: (click on "The Strip" for today's comic)

And on the old Andy Griffith Show reruns on TV Land today- who should come into town but Malcom Merriweather himself, riding what appeared to be a good English 3-speed complete with racks & bags!

I was watching "The Shield" on FX the other night (excellent show by the way) and they went into a barber shop to bust some punk kid that had murdered some people earlier and there were two nice looking bikes leaned against the wall of the shop. One even looked to be a fixed gear
