most popular bicycle colors?

I'm just wondering what everyone's favorite bike color is. Also if anyone who owns a shop actually knows the color breakdown for a generic looking bike, that would interesting as well. I've seen these data for cars, but can't seem to find it for bikes. I understand that higher-end and more specialty type bikes would come in limited colors and would not really be representative of the data I'm seeking. Thanks!

Why is it that consumers always pick a "favorite" color with not one tiny
thought about visiblity or safety? Humans are herd animals.

I don't think the color of the bike matters nearly as much as what you're wearing, or what kind of lights your using when it comes to visibility.

I'd be curious to see the breakdown of bikes sold by color too, only because I'd like my next bike to be something rare...way too many black, or red, or black&red bikes on the road. Where are the lavender & chartreuse frames?

Cause bike tubes are so thin it doesn't really matter. Motorcycle, maybe. Bicycle, no.
Like someone else mentioned, the color of your clothing is much more important.

I want to be able to specify favorite colors as RGB triplets or maybe panitone swatch numbers.

Probably in street clothing and with no reflectors a flash of yellow, orange or krypton green could make a difference. I'm guessing though if you were wearing bright pink, people wouldn't notice the bike though.

I voted black because there's no pink. I ride a T-Mobile Giant OCR. Pink and black.

I disagree. When you ride you & bike are a unit to be seen or not. EVERY little bit helps.
