Fatcyclist needs your prayers and thoughts

I read Fatcyclist's blog daily. For those of you who read it, you'll know his wife is dealing with cancer. Fatty's post this morning will make you cry, but it will also make you think long and hard about the rest of your day, and of the people you love.

I want to share this with as many people in the world as possible, to send prayers and love and positive vibrations to the Nelson family, so I've posted about it on both of my blogs. He's given me so much joy and laughter through his funny, whacky posts over the past 9 months I've enjoyed his blog, that this is the only thing I can think of doing for him - spreading the word. Check out my posts here or here, and send your thoughts. We'll bombard them with cycling love and positive energy from around the world! The more the better.

It may seem callous to some.

Thanks for posting this. I read his blog a few days ago and saw this coming.

So hard and so sad.

Hopefully he will have a good hospice team with good bereavement support.
His kids will need support as well. Wonder what the extended family situation is?

I think he has an amazing extended family of friends and neighbors nearby who will do anything for him - many of which are friends from his blog. His sister is nearby I think.

If you haven't followed his blog, go through past posts and you will have a hard time wiping the smile off your face. He is so funny, and writes so well, and is so down to earth and REAL and just plains love riding his bike and sharing stories about it. It's amazing the cycling/blogging community out there - well over 300 comments of prayers and support just since this morning.
