What happened to LeMond bikes?
Any one know what happened to LeMond bikes. I know Trek dropped the name, but what does that mean exactly? Anyone own the brand? Is the recent LeMond look/design (which I honestly never loved) gonna show up under Trek or Gary Fisher? Is there some better place to find this info than posting here?
I have a '01 Buenos Aires. Hot. Like Buenos Aires. Its sad when I don't see new models.

It means that Lemond has to find someone else to manufacture and retail his bike line. That may be difficult for him to do with the ongoing litigation with Trek. Until that is settled it will be hard for him to get anyone to enter into negotiations with him. There is the probability, I believe, that Greg is no longer in the bike business.

Trek got their panties in a wad when 'ol Greg called Trek's Golden Boy Lance out for doping. So what did they do? They did away with the LeMond line and brought back Klein. Maybe Klein's demand got so big in Japan that they thought it'd be a good idea to bring back the line, and LeMond still has shot in his chest.
Too bad, as the '89 Tour de France was the last of the best racing.

Lemond didn't do himself any favors by allegedly undercutting some of his own Lemond bike dealers although that is just a small part of the lawsuit.

Did Trek own all of Lemond's designs? If so, they can do what they want with them, including bury them for eternity. If Trek is really pissed, they just might do that.
Greg can probably enter into new business with different designs, but I'm not sure, don't know the details.
