Extra Large Mirrors ...
Does anyone have extra large mirrors on their bicycle? I've tried a variety of the usual bicycle mirrors, and cannot see the cars until it's too late. So, I need extra large mirrors ...
Where would I find the extra large mirrors? I don't think mirrors that attach to a helmet or glasses would work for me, because I have a serious problem with my eyes watering, sometimes nearly nonstop. If I have extra large mirrors, I should be able to still see the traffic behind me. |
How large is extra large?

Try motorcycle mirrors, should be able to put them on your handlebar with a little shimming.

Do what I did. Install a pair of scooter mirrors with a "P" clip on your bike. I got mine from e-bay
for $14 the pair!!:thumb: |
I added a new mirror yesterday!
It has a 9 inch arm. The name brand is "SUNLITE". I just Googled it: http://www.sunlitecycling.com/site/index.htm It must be new. When I click "mirrors", it says "coming soon". |
I like this one for large field of view and to see drafting riders directly behind me. This is good even if you have other mirrors.

I find that the tiny mirrors that stick to the inside of your glasses give a much larger image than any bar mount one I've ever used. The closeness to the eye more than compensates for the small size.

I need long arms for the mirrors, probably at least 9 inches, and a mirror size of about 4x6 inches.
