What aMull said.

Wide <> better
I have ridden quite a few different saddles and have not noticed any issue in that regard.
All of my saddles are somewhat narrow road saddles.

It seems as if many people aren't bothered by their saddle. But when some people do have a problem they have two solutions. They can try adjusting the saddle to something they can live with and if that fails try a different saddle. Once you start researching saddles you run into the medical studies that say the saddle is a problem. It is easy to see the problem for many riders. They are personally experiencing a problem and that problem is confirmed by studies for places like Harvard. On the other hand they are told by many that do not have the problem that the problem is all in their head, even though that isn't exactly where the pain happens.

To me the easy solution was to change the saddle.

I have tried soooo many saddles in my life, cheap ones, expensive ones, narrow, wide, soft, hard, gel, channeled, etc.

Haven't found one I'm entirely happy with (yet), only a few that I can tolerate.

Bicycle saddles safe for sex life? How can sitting on one's testicles be considered utterly safe...

I've had the one on the right for 2 1/2 years, and that's not what's keeping me from riding farther. No numbness either.

Maybe, but I'd prefer a companion of the opposite sex....

As other posts have said, soft saddles generally don't do well. They may feel good in the shop, but after half an hour, they're miserable. If that's a Body Geometry (too lazy to go back and look), I won one of those at an organized ride and hated it. The padding was so soft I compressed it against the plastic shell; in half an hour I was in actual pain. I gave it away.

That's good. My initial reaction to reading the title was, "You want to have sex on the saddle?" What? A new position? (Oh, the wealth of jokes this one conjures up. )

I have the one on the right. It's not so great. The cheap saddle that came on my cheap fuji hybrid is more comfortable, and it also looks like the one on the left.

Cheap Saddles are like Cheap Hookers. Neither will last you very long, and both will leave you with a rash.

If it's sexual function you're worried about then the only saddle for you is one with no horn.
