greatest entrance EVER!
our tuesday night rides are at 5:30, and with my busy life i figured i could do that and get to my meeting at 7:00. being the VP of the club it would be who of me to show up, especially with elections comming up ! So there i was climbing the hill back up to campus and i turned toward the building, and i realized that the room is not on the groud floor so as i slamed on the breaks i hoped of the bike and opened the door, ran thought the commons (with 3 guys cheering me on no less) up 2 flights of stairs only to get back on my bike pedal to the room hop off the bike again open the door exhusted. when the door opens i am greeted by 1/2 the room laughing and the other half had this really puzzeled look on their faces. The Other officers i told i was going to be late asked if i could have been any later I was then nominated for VP and tres. for the club and the meeting was over. I think i was there for a total of 5 mins and felt a little bad, but it wore off as i realized it was a good ride. Although i must say that is the BEST entrance i have ever made, if your going to be late you may as well be in spandex with a bike!

Moral to the story: arrive late to a meeting, huffing, in spandex and carrying your bike, and you'll get nominated for office.
Corrollary 1: Avoid arriving at meetings in this fashion like the plague.
Corrollary 2: Avoid such meetings at all, if possible.

Sweet entrance, BUT... first day of the new school year our cycling team president showed up in a team skinsuit, with a giant Baylor flag tied on as a cape, tightie whities died green on the OUTSIDE of his skinsuit and amber ski goggles. All the newbies were definately a bit put off. :-D

Sounds like a good cyclocross dismount/mount. Maby incorporate your meeting building into a campus cross race this year

ok, so again today i came back from a ride only to find out the ride took me 10 min more than planned. Since i decided cut it close and only have 1:20 till my next class, i was in a bit of a pinch so i flew in an out of the shower only to show up 5 min late and still out of breath. The professor saw me come in and asked if it was a nice day out, i replied with some comment about how great it was. I noticed that i was still sweating from hauling butt to class, and felt strangly comfortable in class, i didnt even fall asleep. I think i might do this more often!
