Brooks Saddle and Sunlight
I was wondering what happens to a Brooks saddle when it is exposed to the Sun on a hot Summer day. I have two of them and can't think it would be very good on them to get really hot. Anyone have any experience with this?

I don't think it matters much as long as your saddle has been treated properly. Constant direct exposure to sunlight may eventually alter the color dye, adding to that vintage look...

Maybe a rivet tattoo :D

I would equate the Brooks saddles to horse saddles, being made out of the same materials. The horse saddles are in the sun for a hell of a lot longer than bicycle saddles and seem to last for a ton of years, often over 50. Plus the bike saddles aren't exposed very much at all, usually being covered by the rider's butt probably 98% of the time.

I lived in Bakersfield CA where in the summer the heat would exceed 100 degrees. I had a Brooks Swift for the last 2 years I was there and the sun didn't hurt the least bit.
