hip pain? cycling related? reaction to food?

At the moment I am suffering from pain in my right hip. I could not really pin point where it is, there are certain position where I feel a sharp pain, and at other times there is no pain at all.

The pain usually is at worst at night, I could hardly move my leg w/o feeling the pain. In the morning, the pain is bearable, and I can do my regular activities, but have been off the saddle since the pain started yesterday.

2 days ago, I rode a fast(34+kmh) 80km ride.. I didn't feel any pain after the activity. The day after(yesterday), we went to the beach, and I managed to eat every food I wanted to avoid -- pork, ice-cream, chocolate..

I felt the pain when I got home (evening).. So my question is, is the pain caused by my cycling? the food? or something else?

Anyone had similar experinces?

BTW, I'm 24 and Overweight

Overweight and stressfull exercise may be the problem. You say hip but is it muscular, or bone pain? Bone pain would come from a past injury or knock. Doubt as to whether it is food related unless it is a form of Gout? that is related to a food allergy, and this normally would hit a joint, so Hipjoint pain? Ever had it before after eating certain foods? Muscular pain after a fast 80 km ride would be possible. I am still trying to get over a Groin strain, that came after a long hill with too much pace for too long, but I felt this coming on. just face it, your too young to Have pain, so see if it is still there in afew days. if it is get it checked out.
