Just bought a Cateye Mity 8 computer, setup issues

Hoping someone went through this before. These directions are outright terrible.

First thing first, I want to change it from metric to standard! I don't even know what a Km means, nor do I want to learn

Next question. I could've sworn I read somewhere that this thing illuminates... am I crazy? I can't find it anywhere

Last one, is there anyway to send this thing to powersave mode without waiting an hour?

km = kilometre

1 mile = 1.6 kilometres

Setting the measurement mode to miles is the second step in the computer set-up instructions.

I can see no button for illuminating the screen.

The powersave mode is factory set and cannot be modified.

Just go slowly through the instructions and all will be revealed.

:lol: I didn't mean for anyone to take it literally! I just hate doing the conversion. That was indeed pretty simple, just had to reset everything and it gives me the option! So I guess the verdict is there is no illumination, that's disappointing, most of my riding is done at night

Sigma used to make a computer light, I don't know if they still do...

The battery lasts a long time.

For night reading, either try a different computer or get a helmet light. Latter is good for getting drivers' attention by aiming beam directly at them.
