Giant Cypress
I returned Trek 7000 size 20 to the store. The bike was too big, the saddle at the minimum was causing my legs to over-stretch.
I was looking for Giant Cypress size 18 (http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/...le/2303/32209/), but they didn't have it in store. They had Giant Cypress DX, which I took for a test ride and I liked it. The store ordered the "regular" Giant Cypress size 18 for me. I hope the difference between Giant Cypress DX and Giant Cypress "regular" (http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/...le/2303/32209/) in not so big. I'd like to hear your opinion. Thanks! |
The DX has slightly higher gearing which would allow you to reach a higher top speed but would be slightly harder going up steep hills. The DX also has higher level components, but hardly noticeable.

The frame dimensions will be identical as long as the bikes are the same year. The difference is in the componets.
I find my Cypress very comfortable to ride. |
I have also noticed that the "regular" Giant Cypress (http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/...le/2303/32209/) has "Giant Comfort" saddle, while Giant Cypress DX (http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/...le/2303/32207/) comes with "Unity Comfort Groove Plus w/Memory Foam" saddle.
Is there significant difference between those two saddles ??? |
