Stupid question but......
Has anyone ever put a chainstay protector on the opposite side of the chain? Main reason considering doing this I currently have some strips of electical tape to hold my cyclometer wiring(tape holding wire and tape around the stay where sensors mount so zip ties dont rub on frame). Thought it would give a "symetrical/cleaner look" to just put a protector to cover it. Thoughts?

No, no one does that.
And a backwards chainguard is going to look a lot uglier than the computer wiring. |
Not sure what you mean ? I don't think you are saying fit one backwards ?
Are you saying fit a chainstay protector on the non-chain side (L/H) chainstay ? |

It is your bike. Do what you want with it. |

Why do you have wiring running along your L/H chainstay ?

Cadence sensor for a cyclocomputer would be a good reason.
