I will be Spokane the last half of June. I would appreciate any information with respect to local knowledge, local rides, local cycling events.

There's lot's of cycling around here, whether you're into road or mountain or both. If you're interested in events, you could check out this calander of races and other rides. https://www.spokanerocketvelo.com/races.html
The page gives a comprehensive look at the formal, organized rides in the area. If you're interested in less formal rides or routes, there are plenty of places to ride. Bring both your mtn bike and road bike.

It's surprising to me how often Spokane is discussed as a cycling city. This will help...

This thread concentrates on the Centennial Trail. I am more interested in road rides connect to the Centennial Trail or more in the countryside away from Spokane.

There is a ton excellent places to ride in and around Spokane. The centennial trail is only one, although very good. There are farm roads to the north and south of Spokane that afford scenic less travelled ways. Some are easy and some are very challenging.

The Spokane Bicycle Club can be very helpful. https://www.spokanebicycleclub.org/ A good local shop here is Two Wheel Transit (509-747-2466)

If you want, you can PM or e-mail me and I can fill you in on what I consider good rides. Spokane is very bike friendly. My wife and I enjoy cycling here.
