One of life's embarassing moments ...
happened to my wife on today's ride.
The weather was great in the Bay Area today, so we rode up to Skyline Blvd. and had a great 6 mile descent on Hwy 84E. Anyway, we decided to stop at a local park (the Old Woodside Store for the locals) to get some water. Ted Huang and Christine Thorburn of the Webcor Racing team were stopped there when we rolled up. I stopped to talk to them and my wife pulled up next to me but forgot to unclip and fell over right in front of them!
She didn't get hurt or anything but was kind of embarassed about hitting the deck!

Don't worry it happens to all of us.
The only time it happens to me is when cute girls are looking. I'v gotten used to the quiet pointing a giggling though.

Once, after lunging up a rock and stump covered slope that no one else even tried, I fell over in the parking lot in front of the whole group.

It's even better when you fall into a huge mud puddle that is the only one within a few miles at least. Downtown. During rush hour.

Your wife is one up on me. I did a very similiar thing when I first began to ride clipless. The difference is I fell over "on top of" them. Domino effect, I took out four people. I'm sure all those that witnessed it were laughing hystercally.

It seems to happen to me whenever I get new peddles or new shoes/cleats -- new stuff sticks.
