Comuter won't shut off
Someone gave me an older cateye cc-6000 and told me it just needed a battery. He didn't have a manual for it. I got the battery and it won't shut off. I asked the guy and he said he thought it would shut off automatically. It's been on for 6 hours now. Any ideas?

i would try resetting it one more time and just leave it...if in 12 hours it doesnt shut off then thats just ridiculous. even 6 hours seems much.

I pulled the battery before the first post. Surely that's not how they are supposed to work? I don't want to pull the battery every time I ride, but I will if I have to.

I've got a Cateye compuiter that stays on 24/7. The speed reading goes away after about 5 mins of zero MPH. However, all the other readings stay on. It has been woring on the original battery ever since 2001.

Look at the manual here! http://www.cateye.com/tech_support/m.../CC_6000_E.pdf
I got an old CC-7000 Vectra on a garage sale bike and it never powers off either. Also it does not have an auto start/stop function. It's all manual. |

I guess it's not too different from our watches. I guess I'll just leave it on and not worry about it. The battery was only a couple of bucks anyway. Thanks everybody!!!
