Inner tube recommendations?

I've searched the forums for recommendations on good inner tubes and Continental and Michelin seems to be the recurring theme. Has anyone had any experience with Specialized inner tubes - good or bad? Also, please feel free to share your good and bad experiences with any other brands. Thanks.

Only bad experience I had- and it was only bad as I was the one fixing the punctures and replacing the tubes- Was some no-name ones bought at a car boot sale. Changed 3 before I asked the rider if he had any more- and yes- they were so cheap he bought a case of them.
I told him the best place he could put them.

Only thing to find out is what type of valve- what length of valve and whether they come from a known source. Other than that- Any known named tube will do.

Hello I think some people claim the Conti and Michlen to be better as they are extruded and have only one seam.

as for my I just like the kind that hold the 'inner air' in them for a few days *giggle*

Schwalbe tubes seem to hold air better than any tube I have ever tiried. I was (and am) amazed.

I've never paid much attention to inner tube brands. I've never had a flat myself nor fixed a flat for somebody else that I attributed to a defective inner tube either. I'll use whatever's the right size.

My complaint today is that it's becoming harder to find tubes with 32mm or 36mm presta stems. The local shops only carry 48mm stems (and longer) to fit aero profile rims. I don't have any very deep rims so I think that long stems on my bikes look goofy.

I use specialized tubes mostly (or novara tubes if I happen to be at REI when I need some). I don't have any complaints about them. But I haven't had complaints about any other brand of tube either, all seem the same to me.

Specialized tubes work for me. I have them on my road bike and my mtn bike without any problems.

AVOID at all costs the tubes from Forte that Performance Bike sells. They go flat with single holes (not snakebites) without anything to puncture them. Cheap, crappy, worthless pieces of junk. DO NOT BUY THEM!!!

When it comes to tubes, name brand, name brand, name brand is all you need to know when making a selection.

I have 4 700 X 18-20mm inner tubes with 48mm valve stems still in the box. I'd be willing to trade them for tubes with 32mm to 36mm valve stems.

PM me an address if you're interested.
