Homage to the Garage Door Background in Photos

I've noticed that the garage door background for bike photos is becoming a classic. We should appreciate it's stark white beauty and simplicity when showing off our rides. Long live the garage door background in bike photos!

Some of us don't have white garage doors and don't have a big enough door to show off the bikes.

Do searches in the Road Cycling forum for some real interesting threads expanding on the topic.

I don't have time to search now, but try a search for OCP... Obsessive Compulsive Poseur... or maybe garage door...

the rules for a "proper" bicycle photograph have been debated, the white garage door is only the start. ;)

I still see the OCP logo around occasionally in someone's signature.

Here is the garage door pic of my Coiler on the day I bought it. The bike is long gone but I still use the garage door daily

That garage door looks un-American!

Little secret: even generic white garage doors can be painted. Brown, for example:

Add some siding for texture.

Caloso, congratulations on having the wit to photograph a white bike against a dark background. Please explain this arcane concept to some of the bike manufacturers' web site designers: http://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/thebik.../09_sonik.html , http://www.fujibikes.com/Road/Perfor...oubaixPro.aspx

I like to be able to see the frame, not just the tires.
