Good price for Singletrack 930?

Sorry, noob alert.I am interested in a bike available locally and I want to know what is reasonable to offer. It is a Trek Singletrack 930 with all stock parts I think. Frame and components seem to be in good shape. Not sure on the year yet. Not sure if it has suspension or stiff fork. I was planning on upgrading components as I can afford/see fit but read that the frames are a solid start. Plan on using to commute/city rides/ light trail and get another(road or mtb) bike down the road when I can invest more money if I want. Thanks.

Take a look at BikePedia to get the specs on the bike.

They are nice bikes. I had a '96 with Rock Shox. Depending on the condition of the bike, and the regional market for them, they can run from about $75 to $150. "SingleTrack" here refers to (mostly) American made, as opposed to Trek "Multi Track" models that are imported.

Depends on year, condition, and location. I looked at a couple of early 930's locally (DC) priced at $250. These were the earlier ones with rigid forks: '94 or '95, I believe.
