Has anyone here ever ride the Chief Ladiga Rails to Trail in Cleburne Co Alabama? And the Silver Comet Bike trail in GA? If so what do you think of the trails?

I've done both.

The Chief Ladiga is more rural and less crowded. The trail does not conform with the Rail to Trail recommended width, but at 8 ft wide it seems fine.

The Silver Comet near Marietta is heavily used. It's not fun trying to navigate a bicycle through the throng of baby strollers and skaters there. As you get away from Marietta the Comet is better for cyclists. There's a cool tunnel that's about 40 - 50 yards long (if I recall correctly) on the Silver Comet. There are a few times when you'll have to cross major roads on the Comet, but they are building bridges to make these areas safer.

Not sure if you know, but the Chief Ladiga and the Silver Comet will be formally joined together soon. One more stretch of trail in Alabama near the GA line to pave and the two trails will be linked.

Once you are about 10-15 miles from the start of the SC trail in Smyrna there are very few pedestrians, dog walkers, kids on bikes, joggers, and rollerbladers. You basically have the whole trail all to yourself. And crossing roads becomes less frequent.
There are no watering holes either so take your Camelbak and enough food or energy bars for the ride.
An officer from the the Paulding County (I think) sheriff's office patrols the trail in a golf cart. I guess they've had a few problems with muggings, robbery, or .....

Not a clue here. With all the rain we're getting are you sure it's still dry?
