One smart dog

On my evening route tonight, I saw three dogs coming toward me on the road couple a hundred yards ahead. They saw me, and two broke into a run straight toward me while the third turned and ran the opposite way. The road was a slight downhill followed by some small rollers, a 90 degree turn, and more rollers. The boxer and mutt that ran toward me were no problem - I blew by them as they put on the brakes and started to turn toward me. Around the 90 degree turn is an uphill, and guess who was there waiting there for me? The border collie. Darn smart dog, I'll give her that.

Yup, Border Collies, the genius of the dog world. You know what they say about genius and insanity? Yup, that too.

Don't think so... I know I'm projecting here, but the two looked like dumb and dumber while the collie knows the score.

Actually this would not surprise me. My pair play as a team.

Now if the collie lifted it's leg and 'watered' you, followed by all 3 dogs rolling around on the ground holding their ribs - I'd be inclined to believe something was up.

The way to handle that situation is to stop, get off of your bike and bite one of the first two dogs right in the tushie. When the border collie sees that, he'll run home.
