Does anyone know of a site where there is an explanation of peloton racing scoring?

Essentially, all of the riders who finish in a group are awarded the same finishing time. This year in the tour if there is a crash within the last kilometer of the race, all of the riders who were in the group prior to the crash are awarded the same finishing time. The purpose of both rules is to minimize the need for aggressive riding in the last few meters of the race, and to avoid penalizing riders who are delayed through no fault of their own.
