Help me crack a cold one!
I have a need to carry six glass bottles of beer tomorrow. They need to arrive at their destination cold and unbroken. The ride is 35 minutes over typical roads.
My plan right now is to put the bottles and some ice packs in a small zipped soft-sided cooler, and then bungee the cooler to the top of my rack. It seems like this should work. What do you think? |

No, I have panniers. They won't keep 'em cold on their own, though, and I don't think they'd really keep the bottles from bumping around.
I guess I could put the cooler in my pannier, but I don't know how well it'll fit. I can try it and see, I guess. |

Well that was easy.
The cooler fits in the pannier like it was made for it. I don't know why I didn't think of that myself. Thanks Ziemas! |
As do both of my soft side coolers. One in each side, three bottles per, with each bottle sitting in a cute little 99¢ foam rubber cozy.

If you're really concerned about the bottles clinking together and possibly breaking, 'sleeve' them in a clean sock.
