Is this a good deal?

I'm not too sure where i should put this, so i figured this would work...

Trek 1000 road bike 60cm upgraded wheelset - $350 (Navarre)
re/whit/blue Trek 1000 60 cm road bike (large frame) 5'11 and up. good condition ready to ride- I have put 100 miles over the past several days. upgraded wheelset. Shimano Sora 24spd sti group. call 408 600 7559 for test ride. located in Navarre.
this seems to be really cheap for a bike this nice. Is it as nice as it seems, and this is a good buy, or it just "ok"? I'm new at this, and me and my friend are both looking for a nice road bike. I asked the guy for some more specifics, and this was the response:

Bike runs great/looks great. Have been riding it all week. Needs nothing. Not sure of year something around 2000 model
Sora triple all standand gearing 52 42 32, 12-27, vuelta airlines 2 wheelset. Bike is stock other than wheelset. It is in tune and ready to ride.
i'm really thinking about getting it, and my friend is also, but we aren't very knowledgeable so i'm hoping someone can tell me either way. Thanks for your insight.
