serial numbers
 

hello, does anyone know where to find information about cross referencing serial numbers on khs bikes. i am new to non-walmart bikes. i recently purchased a khs montana team mtb. it is full xtr with marzocchi front shock. the guy i bought it from said he bught it new about 12 years ago, but bikeipedia closely matches it with a '93 fxt. the serial number (u21007412) says it's a 92, but bikeipedia doesn't reference earlier than '93. is there any way to find out exactly what my bike is. thanks, woody.
