Dirty bike... how to clean?

ok, here's the story. the mechanics at the lbs left a lot of dirty finger spots and what not on my Sirrus. since the bike is painted white... the oil finger stains really shows. how do you guys clean off those greasy spots?

i heard a lot of people using simple green. now what would be different from the simple green degreaser, vs. let's say Oil Eater all purpose degreaser?

Very bad form to return a bike to a customer without cleaning your greasy fingerprints off of it. Clean it up with whatever degreaser you want, but be sure to have a word with the LBS manager next time about the situation..

Agreed, bad form. That would make me question the quality of thier work on the important parts. But to answer your question, grab a paper towel and whatever you clean windows with and wipe it off.

Cheers

Black spray paint. If it gets dirty again, paint it again.

...meaning I vote for Simple Green.

I put my bike(s) on the rack on the back of my car and wash them with liquid dish washing soap and shine it up with Pledge. Looks like new when I am done.
Only bad thing about this is that it forces me to wash my car when I am done, too.
