Dude, I think you're on the wrong forum. The United Travelling Salespersons' forum is over there. Unless you peddle crack...in which case, forget I said anything.

I "get" most of the stuff in this thread even if I don't agree with it. But what I don't get; I've never been able to figure out why someone would wear a helmet and not strap it. I'll take any reason, even a bad one!

Could be trying to do to many preps too quickly. I did once leave the house with it unhooked... slap the hemet on, get the water bottle, move the bike, hit the elevator, get the keys, start the music... check out the hottie on the cruiser; right after I got on the bike, I felt the chin strap whipping around so I stopped and snapped it in.

I don't get why scooter riders, especially kids, wear their helmets on top of their heads. They're not fooling anyone, the ticket is the same as not wearing one at all.

lycra;
clipless;

why do people say "Kneel down"...you can't "kneel up"
1) Most traffic on interstates is local anyway...and it would be grossly unfair for Hawaii to be excluded from the federal funds to help them build their highways.
2) Atlanta is in the NL East.
3) Probably to distinguish kneeling down from sitting down, squatting down, lying down, or getting down in any other fashion.

MAYBE a light misting event on one of those summer nights when the temp never drops below 83... otherwise, not close!

I'm talking anywhere from light mist to torrential downpour with thunder, lightning
wind, tornado sirens, falling branches, and hail.
I love it! Of course, traffic sorta sucks in these conditions.

I do'nt get single speeds. If you are going to get an 1/8 horsepower vehicle anywhere it will need gears.They may be more simple but,come on deraileurs have been working pretty good for what? 80 years?

Things I don't get:
Why is it called a TV set when you only get one?
Why is it called the Secret Service when everyone knows about it?
Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?
Why are they called apartments when they're all stuck together?
Why didn't George Carlin ask these questions?
