Trek or Specialized Bikes

I am in the market to buy a new road bike in $1000 range. I would be interested in hearing from riders who own a trek or specialized road bike. Let me hear the pros and cons of these two bike, and any feedback in buying a new road bike. I would really appreciate it.

SPECIALIZED!!!!!!....for $1,000 you would be looking at one of the Allez models or sequoia models....Allez are more racing orientated while the sequoia are more comfortable, wont get anything carbon or ti for 1000 but specialized has a killer steel model 04 allez, but if you will just wait 2 to 3 months you can buy one of the 2005 models and who knows what kind of cool bikes they will have
You can never be too Specialized

I really prefer Specialized's Allez series to Trek's bikes in the same price range, but to each their own. Ride both and get what feels better to you.
