My LBS has a pretty good price on a Thompson elite I want to get it but I need a little encouragment
help me out and show me how nice yours looks on your ride-it does make a nice detail-how nice?

It is kind of funny how when something is well designed it usually looks very good as well.You can kind of tell just by looking at certain things if they are of quaility or not-the finish,attention to details,the little things.There is no doubt the Thompson post it falls into this catagory, it is a very nice piece.The head,clamp and finish are not overdone,but done very well.Geez,after writing that, I may not need any encoragment.-

I probably wo'nt buy 3 however.
Do you use a different one depending on what mood you're in(I'm feeling a little set-back today)?

Got 4, one on each bike. I wouldn't buy a second of anything if I didn't have 100% confidence in it. One I got because my track bike had a different post size (26.8 vs 27.2 for the rest of them). All straight, i.e. zero setback.

Seat stays where I put it, doesn't move, posts don't break, etc etc etc.
