any riders between beginner-hardcore?

It seems most people in my age group [early 40's] are either beginners, which is fine or hardcore long distance riders. Me and my wife ride 20-40 mile average saturday and/or sunday on blacktop or gravel trails or I ride offroad 10-25 miles and its hard to find more people to ride with our age. We are going to ride in the Scenic Shore 150 this year {2 days riding} and maybe pull a trailer 50-75 miles and spend a night and then ride back next day. Is there anyone who rides simular out there?

Where you located Wi? By your handle is it Wisconsin? We ride a bit more than that but not much more when we ride the tandem. On my single I'm more hardcore.

What is the scenic shore like? Do you camp? or motel it?

We have a Yak BOB trailer....what's your's? When do you plan to ride the Scenic shore?

we are in Beaver dam area, we never rode the scenic shore yet, will do this summer, when wife is along we Motel, me and son camp. I like the John muir trail, emma carlin, levi trow, wife prefers hard pack or blacktop. took her to Lutsen mn. and went downhilling, was fine till she went over front of bike on steep descent. I just bought a Yak coz trailer to use this summer. Where are you located?

Wi, this summer we're riding from Eagle River to Praire du Chien with GRABAAWR ride. I guess we'll see a lot of Wisconsen. The dates are 29 June - 6 July.

You're not alone. My wife and I usually ride a similar distance on the weekends. We're also in our 40's. Like Gus we do most of our weekend riding on a tandem, and we also will be doing the GRABAAWR. We've found plenty of riding friends by doing some of the local organized rides. Talk to people you meet and you'll soon have riding partners. Riding on the local bike trails is also a good way to meet riders, especially less hardcore riders.

We will be riding in the Scenic Shore 150 July 20-21 And will try to ride in other rides in work permits. We both Have our own bikes, 2 GT full sus. and 2 specialized flat bar road bikes. Hopefully we will get some good weather when we have time to ride. Last year we took Vacation on the hottest week of summer I think, 70 oz. Camelbaks were not enough on 1 ride. Hope to spend some time with my youngest son (19) who enjoys riding offroad. We also have a trailer I pull my grand daughter in, went once last year 25 miles againest the wind, wow what a workout
