Anyone familiar with? Good? Bad?
Did a search for something that led me there. Before I go and give them my business, I'm just trying to see what kind of rep they got. I tried posting in the Marketplace, but was not allowed. |
I've never seen/heard of them before tonight, but they appear legitimate. Looks like a decent selection, a little different than a lot of the others out there, so if they have what you need, no reason not to. BUT -- never just jump in to an online retailer, always compare. Price Point, Jenson, Performance, Cambria -- they're always there, too.
Comparison shopping for the parts you want/need is half the fun! |
They've got lots of stuff and pretty good prices. I've never ordered from there, but it looks like a good one.

I ordered from them a bunch of mountain bike things a few years ago. no complaints.

I ordered a lot of stuff from them several years back and had no problems at all.
At the time (and maybe they still do) their policy was to wait for the three-day credit card "cooling-off" period to pass before shipping. That seems reasonable to me as it reduces their potential losses from customers who change their minds after the goods have shipped, and for recently stolen credit cards to be reported before they ship. Other people who prefer Amazon-like instant shipping had a problem with that policy. |
They seem fine, I typically stick with my trusted companies pricepoint, performance, and jenson

i actually ordered something from them in December. By chance, it was backordered but they were easy to work with, they kept me in the loop as soon as the part was in stock and shipped and the shipping was faster than could be asked for (2 days from CO to NY)
I would definitely buy from them again. |
They have a 6 month rating of 6.67 out of a possible 10 on resellerratings.com. http://www.resellerratings.com/store/BikeStop

Thanks for that. JensonUSA's rates a 9/10. They have what I want as well.

I've also ordered about $200 worth of stuff from Jenson over the past month +/- and have been very pleased with them. |
Hi. I bought a nice set of Nexus/Dyno wheels and some other stuff this summer. I recently bought some tires. I also had a BFr buy and ship me some bars from them on a trade. the bars did not work out and they returned them credit. great place. I would order from them anytime.

I just ordered from them and am having a bad experience. They advertised a porteur rack at 60% off. I bought it online, the money was withdrawn from my account and then I get an email the next day saying that it was a mistake and they would have to charge me 110 dollars more, which wouldn't even fall into the category or a sale item since they go for 160 and i already paid 55. Thats totally messed up looks like some sort of false advertising scheme to me

I ordered parts from eBikestop from Canada. All was OK. I plan to make another order.
I've also ordered from places like: Niagaracycle, Icycles, Cambriabike, Chainreactioncycles, Saint John Street Cycles, Velo-Orange, eBay, Amazon, Aspire-Velo Tech, Woollyhatshop, Nashbar and BikeUSA. EDIT: I can add Benscycle to this list because I just received the Sugino XD 350 crankset from them and this will go with my SKS Chainboard I bought from Niagaracycle on sale. However, I've found sites like http://harriscyclery.net/special-order-catalog-qc49/ Bikeman, Smartbikeparts, UniversalCycles (shipping to Canada a tad expensive) and even cyclepath.ca and Wheelworld that have similar or intestring inventory but I haven't tried them yet. Harriscyclery though has Busch & Muller dynamo lights (for dynamo hubs). |
I've ordered from them in the past and everything was perfect - good shipping, product exactly as described.
I also corresponded with them a while back on some (VERY) hard to find parts for a travel case. They didn't have the parts but were excellent at communicating w/ me, put me on a notification list and also helped me track down another source for the parts. |
I have actually visited the ebikestop store in Colorado Springs. They do most of their sales online, had a decent inventory. I have not ordered from them yet since I have many others that I have dealt with in the past without complaint.
