Ooh, I saw about a thousand of them today, on eBay! They were all at least $6-12! It's nice to see that so many people are buying them so that they can make a profit from a trend and donate to cancer research at the same time! Hooray capitalism! Too bad you can't actually get one anywhere for the supposed retail price of $1.

I was watching "Austin City Limits" last night and saw Robert Randolph and a player in his band both wearing one. For those who don't know, Robert Randolph is an amazing guitar player who plays a 13-string pedal steel guitar. He opened for Eric Clapton on his latest tour.

Another sighting. On the NASCAR race today. Bobby Labonte was being interviewed on TV after the race. I don't know if he ran the race with it or put it on afterwards.

I would wear it if it actually designated something (i.e. cancer survivor or even just a "biker"), but now that EVERYONE wears them, ill never wear mine again.

EVERYONE wears them? I see one on less than 1 in a hundred people. On my floor at work, 1 person has one. There's about a hundred people on that floor. There are over a thousand employees at this facility and I've not seen one on anyone else. Their popularity must vastly different depending on the area.

Most people I have run into either think them for cancer survivors or cyclists...I can't think of one incident where someone thought it was for 'fashion' THat the case, I will not wear one.
In fact, one woman cyclist friend, I encountered in a restaurant asked jokingly, all the cyclists in her club have a livestrong bracelets. Have I given up biking..Since I have yet to get one.

Around here I would say about 10% of people have them. Its cool i guess. They aren't cancer survivors or cyclists... I think most of them know its for cancer, but more an more people are just wearing them because they are cool or trendy. This doesn't bother me really, they're still donating for the LAF and helping with cancer. I wear mine for several people in my family and friends who have fought cancer (some won, some lost), also because I'm a cyclist, and finally because it constantly reminds me to be a strong person.

One thing that pisses me off is seeing people with a band on smoking. Like, seriously this one girl was telling her friend about it and was like, oh its got to do with Lance Armstrong... She had a cig in the same hand. I told her its actually a donation when you purchase the band to help with the LAF, which deals with cancer. And therefore I find it highly ironic and hypocritical that she was smoking and wearing one.

Tom Brokow was on Letterman last night, and I noticed he was sporting a Livestrong. Pretty cool.
