windproof booties FTW
WOW, saturday morning ride in 20 mph winds and 15* temps, have never owned boot covers until today, when i finally said, aah, to heck with the 50 bucks.
I never knew riding in the winter could be done without frozen toes.:love: |
What kind of booties did you get?
|
I rode last year in Herman Survivors, this year I have been using L.L. Bean Snow Sneakers, no frozen toes to date. I rode the other morning at 0 F.

How are those working for you so far, adam?
Yeah, I almost thought cycling in the winter would be a challenge. Being in the PNW, I opted for the Bike Gore Gore-tex shoe covers (with quilted lining). I've tested them in several down pours and never got wet feet. My feet also stay extremely toasty. No more cold toes. The cut out in the bottom is perfect for the Speedplay pedals I'm using at the moment. |
Wow, thanks for the comments you guys, my toes froze the other day even with neopreme front shoe covers....I guess the full cover level is the next obvious choice for me. Reno is like Siberia this year, both on the road and trail!

they are GREAT... put another ride on them, and i will say without question, warm feet make everything better!!!
