Hello All im new here and needing some info Im trying to get a bike to add some variety into my exercise routine and im a pretty big guy about 6ft 275lbs... Anyone got any suggestions on what kind of bike I might need and where I can find a bike for a larger guy like myself?? I have been looking on the net some and not having much luck id like to find one at a decent price if possiable.. Anyways any info would be great..

More info is needed to make any type of decision or suggestion. Will this be for street riding /off road/both ?? Are the roads good where you live ? Many hills, etc. What is your budget ? etc., etc.

The other two posts are right--Clydes will help you out, I'm sure. But just in case, here are a couple of tips...
Height won't be a problem. Look at something around 62 cm, then adjust. Possibly a 60 (I'm 6'4" and ride a 64 or 65). Google something like "bike fit" and you'll get more advice than you can use. Any bike shop can help fit you, too, but in my view if they help you for more than a few minutes, you're more or less obligated to buy from them (other people disagree on this, though).
Your weight is about the upper limit for an off-the-rack bike (i've been there, and i tacoed wheels like they were made of frosting). Wheels with 36 spokes are getting harder to find, but they stand up pretty well. I don't know anybody over about 210 pounds who can ride low-spoke count (less than 32) for very long without trouble.
Room for fat tires is pretty much necessary--you have no business on anything smaller than 32mm, and 35 or 37 would be better. I'd advise against buying anything that won't fit them.
Gearing is often overlooked, but most road bikes these days are overgeared for the average rider, and guys our size need more help than average. People will tell you you'll get used to high gearing, and eventually you might if you stick with it, but why suffer unnecessarily? A triple crank or compact double will probably suit you better than a 53-39 double.
A hybrid bike might be a better idea than a full-on road bike. You'll have lower gears, room for tires, and if you get serious, a tire swap to something faster will let you roll with the medium dogs, at least. i did my first couple of centuries, 20 years ago, on a mountain bike with road tires.

I got a cannondale touring bike and I weigh 275. Its been holding up good to my weight good. Costs $1500 for the cheapest cannondale touring bike. I got the $2000 one and the wheels are different from the cannondale touring $1500 bike.

make the rounds at local bike shops and do some test riding. there is a huge variety of shops out there. some you'll like and some you'll like less. be prepared to meet owners and deal with their personalities. try to conserve their time and spread out your inquiries. keep in mind that there are also tons of shops that sell used bikes.
