I looked and could not find this, so if it this has been posted before I am sorry.
Is there a place I can go to find out what size bike I need. I am 5'9ish. |
Ok, here.

It would help to know what type of bike you're looking for. Dirt? Road? All have different sizing standards.
If you go onto the website of the bike you're interested in, they may have a specific chart. Better yet, go to a bike shop, and have a skilled fitter advise you. |
Everything I've ever read says it's inseam that dictates frame size not overall height. For roadbikes, one method is to take a barefoot crotch to floor measurement in centimeters and multiply it by .667. This will give you frame size center to center. When I do that I come up with a frame of 54-55 cm. And, that's perfect for me. FWIW I am also 5'9" with a 32.5" inseam.

Your inseam measurement is much more important than your height.

Your inseam measurement is much more important than your height. I don't support everything they say or do, but I think they nail the sizing question for road bikes. |
