We cycling addicts..Many have to ride daily...After about 4 days, I get a little nutsy and certainly on edge...What about you...After about four days, I see the outline of the bike gloves fadding on my hands, and I need a ride..Thats about the time, I am quite antsy.
Later in life, I hope to have a job nearer home..Commute daily to work. Have time after work to get in a couple extra miles and stilll have some left over time for domestic stuff and time with my wife.
So how about you..One day, three days..7 days...Being a weekend warrior..That would be the pits..

about 3 days for me and then im bouncing of the walls and pretty antsy.

edit: I meant to say 3 days without any hard physical exercise which is pretty rare for me. Im almost always out of the house jogging, riding my bike, playing basketball, working with my uncle etc.

About 3 days for me, I start dreaming about biking and I start craving my bike, drooling over it.

I can get just plain moody. I've often heard that exercise withdrawl is worse than substance withdrawl & I can almost believe that. It usually hits the second day off the bike...

2 days, maybe 3 at most. My rides aren't as long as most posters on this board but I still have to have 'em. I just got a second bike so I would not have any downtime in case my main one breaks! It's pretty neat having 2 bikes, one has campy, one shimano. One has fatter tires. I'm just getting used to my new one (jamis nova) but it's been pretty fun. I just went for one 7 mile ride on the raleigh and then the same ride on the nova. It's all I had time for today but at least I had my fix. Someone mentioned rain, after 2 days I don't care if it's raining or not. The nova is going to be my "rain" bike cause it has the fat knobby tires.

I can give it up anytime I want...I'm not addicted...Not me...No way...I'm just a social rider anyway...Just a ride or two now and then to relax...I mean, everyone does it anyway.

Usually a couple of days is about the most I can take. Although strangely, when I injured my shoulder last year and was off the bike for a week, it didn't really bother me quite so much. About the only reason I was keen to get back on the bike was the damage catching the bus to work everyday (a result of our crazy bus drivers) was doing to my already injured shoulder.

Having said that, I probably needed a break at that time anyway.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing 12 months ago on my delay. However, I was also thinking of some of the plans I had for later in the year, and how I wanted to be 100% for them. Sometimes we just have to prioritise.

It's been 2 days and I'm bouncing off the walls and riding up and down the hall in my boxers (no lights). I'll go tomorrow.

Somehow I manage to survive the 4 month layoff every winter, though.

Sometimes work keeps me off the bike for as much as four days..I am pretty edgy by then...Nobody better interfere with my plans for the fifth day or else I am not myself.

Been off the bike for 3 days, and I really detested having to walk everywhere on the camp site. I would love to be biking 40kph down the paths instead.

I think if you can lay off the entire winter, you are not very addicted. NOt that there is anything wrong with that. I have probably missed 10-15 days of riding in the last year. Most of those were due to heavy snow. Sometimes it is good to skip a day to remember why it is so fun to ride.
