you know a post is from a troll when

the OP shows enough knowledge to not need an answer to the question

Siu Blue Wind 03-31-10 08:25 AM

Kinda like how you pointed out the answer in this thread? :p

Doohickie 03-31-10 08:33 AM

Wanderer 03-31-10 08:38 AM

Not necessarily - they could be looking for verification, of their perceived answer....

Just like you are looking for others to agree with you.......................

Or when they ask a very newbie question, then argue with everyone that gives them good answers.

That's the response I love. It makes the thread interesting. Justify, justify, justify. At all costs, justify.

I know a troll WHEN THEY ASK QUESTIONS IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS! THEN, THEY GET OFFENDED WHEN PEOPLE TELL THEM TO HIT THEIR "CAPS LOCK" KEY.

...And how can we forget the ones that refer to new members such commonalities as n00b, newb, newbie, noob, noobie, squid, nooby, etc.?

Should we forget the member that has 5000 posts, spots a new member, and then all of a sudden finds the need to "dominate" him/her and try to make examples out of them by challenging everything they say?

Nermal 04-04-10 03:23 PM

Hit the cap locks key! Great idea. Thanks, that saves so much time.

bkaapcke 04-04-10 03:32 PM

As a yet undiscovered troll, I'm certainly not going to tell you guys my secrets on how to remain covert. bk

Okay, you told me to hit the "Caps" key. Now, this is where I'm supposed to insult you, your mom, your dad, tell you how I'm going to beat you up if I ever meet you, and then follow up by "email bombing" you.
