was this a good purchase?

I've been trying to find a good hitch mounted rack for a month or so now. Been searching ebay and craigslist to see if I can get a good new/used one at a reasonable price. I came across a new Allen 740RR 4 bike swingaway hitch rack on ebay for $225~ after shipping. The auction only had 4 hrs left so I didn't have much time to research and what lil I did the biggest complainted I found were that its a bit heavy and too many moving parts (that COULD be prone to failure). But having a mini van with a power lift gate, I was sold on the fact that my wife should be able to, on her own, swing the mounted bikes out of the way to get into the back. Even though its too late, just wondering if this was a good buy? The auction list said its new still in box, so in theory, I should be able to sell it for what I paid at least.
